Happy Friday the 13th!
I haven’t been able to post a blog post in a while so I thought I would do a little update on us.
We took my nieces for a swim day at Jetson’s granny’s house which was fun, luckily the pool is 80 degrees because Jetson and I were chilly sitting outside .
I started using the baby carrier and oh my gosh it makes life so much easier.
Our tv broke so recently we had to go to Best Buy to buy a new one. Jetson is obsessed with screens and light so Best Buy was super fun for him, he would get mad if he wasn’t facing the tv screens. Trouble. We got a smart tv but after like thirty minutes of playing we decided to turn on the x-box that we have had for about a year because it’s more user friendly. The moment we turned on our new smart tv it told us, “The more you use me, the smarter I get.” Dustin and I immediately thought of the Disney movie “Smart House” and were super creeped out lol! Some more funny quirks about the smart tv: it’s wobbly on the stand so eventually we are going to hang it, the remote has trouble connecting with tv and the buttons on the remote are ridiculously close together , Dustin and I were cracking up because our fingers kept touching other buttons. The tv works for our needs though and maybe eventually we will appreciate the “smart” aspect more.
Jetson is almost 3 months old and it’s freaking me out because it’s going by so quick! He had his 2 month checkup a little while ago, I will do a post about that too.
Last Saturday Dustin and I had some fun with Jetson we went to the Halloween store in our area just to look at all the cool stuff. It was a fun family day.
I perfected my recipe for Miso Ginger chicken and Dustin basically wants it every week! That’s fine by me because it’s so yummy and so easy to cook.
My mom and I have been hanging out a lot, she brings me yummy treats and we go shopping and run errands. It’s nice to have extra hands with a baby.
Jet and I have been getting into the Halloween spirit, we decorated the house and we are so ready for the holidays, this is seriously my favorite time of the year!
I made this awesome brain Jell-O for my moms dinner party the other night and it turned out super cool!
Today was my first time ever pumping my breast milk, it was interesting. I got all this in just five minutes of pumping, electric pumps do a really good job.
The reason I pumped is because Dustin and I are having our first date night without the baby and honestly I’m so nervous! My mom is going to watch Jetson ahhhhh. Jetson also has never been offered a bottle because he’s been exclusive on the breast, but I’m pretty sure he will take it because he loves milk in all forms of giving it to him, if not, my mom is in for it. Crossing fingers he does well.
Anyway that’s some things we have been up to, sorry this post is kind of all over the place I really should post more-
